As with the previous 3 or 4 years this particular weekend we have stopped off on route home at Cross View Tea Rooms. We have those years had excellent meals and excellent service from the staff.
I am sorry to say it was quite the opposite this year. Two of us had the smaller portion Fish and Chips, [chips were really good], but the fish was quite tasteless with soggy/thick batter. The sausages that our friend had were overcooked and almost impossible to cut.
Added to this the waitresses passed us by several times while we were waiting to make our order and later to clear our plates which were clearly seen, finished with. We decided to pay and not wait for a pudding. We shall not be returning.
